Shapeways accepts payments via all major credit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers.
You can add and remove payment information during the “Payment Info” step in the checkout process:
If this is your first order, or if you haven’t saved any of your payment information in the past, we’ll ask you to fill out your credit card details (card number, expiration date, security code), and you’ll have an option to save this information to make checking out faster next time too.
When checking out via PayPal, Shapeways will redirect you to the PayPal site to complete your payment information once your order has been placed.
Once you place your order with this option, we’ll email you our bank transfer details (IBAN, Swift, invoice, and account numbers). Make sure to state the invoice and your Shapeways account number in your payment. We won’t begin production on your order until we’ve received the payment in full - partial or unpaid orders will impact your delivery date.
Please anticipate an additional 2-5 days for payment processing in addition to the standard turnaround timeline when you use this payment method.
You can also update shipping and billing information in your account settings. To do this
- Hover over your account image at the top right corner of any Shapeways page
- Choose “Settings” from the dropdown menu
- Choose “Shipping&Billing” from the menu bar at the top of the page
Please note: if you’re having any trouble with your payment, it’s best to contact your bank first to see if they’re blocking the purchase before contacting our customer service team. If your bank determines there’s nothing blocking the purchase on their end, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
